Chief of Department
Chief Batterson joined the EWFD March 7th 1977.
Entered as a probationary member then rose through the ranks and became Chief of Department April 8th 2021

Nick DiPasquale
1st Assistant Chief
Nick joined in February 2009 and quickly became a qualified firefighter and EMT basic. In 2012 Nick ran for Lieutenant of Engine Company and Won,
2012-2014 Engine Lieutenant
2014-2016 Truck Lieutenant
2016-2018 Truck Captain
2018-2020 2nd Assistant Chief
and currently holds the position of 1st Assistant Chief.

Thomas Devaney
2nd Assistant Chief
Tom was sworn into the East Williston Fire Department on March 6, 1995. Shortly thereafter, he became a QF, and was qualified to chauffer the ladder truck. Tom completed his EMT-B in 1996 and EMT-Critical Care in 2001. He has remained certified by NYS DOH to date. Tom is also qualified as a Motor Pump Operator, a Hazmat Technician – Specialist and Assistant Fire Inspector. Tom has served in the Truck Company both as Lieutenant and Captain, before being elected Assistant Chief. Tom also serves as a Trustee and Past President of the Volunteer & Exempt Firemen's Benevolent Association of East Williston, Vice-President of the Nassau County Firefighters Emerald Society and Commissioner of the Mineola Volunteer Ambulance Corps, Inc. Tom resides with his wife Kristen and four boys: Ryan, Collin, Connor and Aidan.
